is there any chance of an ebook? i know it doesnt make a lot of sense, but as someone who lives in south africa which is out of the way of most of this kind of indie shipping, i would still love a way to access this

After seeing this I'm definitely glad I didn't buy a copy. It's a little too generic for me and lacks any real identity.

My only thing about this camera is that it would’ve been really dope if you can convert it from half to full frame. The brand has a rich history and wish the brand could’ve picked up from last advanced film camera.

Good video. My only snag with cheap M-mount lenses is that if you have the $$$ to get an M-Body, you probably have $$ to get a really good lens. Putting a $500 lens on a $5k body seems like putting cheep Cooper tires on a Lambo. Why?

I really never minded the focus lock on older lenses.

So I take it the whole "don't collapse the lens" ordeal isn't an issue on digital after all? I know the 90 mm is too deep to do, but is the 50 ok to collapse?

The design reminds me of the 50mm Taylor Hobson lens that came with the Reid Leica copies.

The struggle I'm having is that I want a portable mf camera that also can excel at portraits... I'm not convinced this is that camera, but it may be one of the best. Where does this excel compared to a GA645, or do they generally fill the same space?

I missed having a fast 28mm when we sold our original Q so the 28 1.4 has been a nice addition to the kit. This 50 looks like a fun copy of that focal length, I’m most curious if it’s safe to collapse while mounted to an m6 body.

Pentax should make a new analog Ricoh GR1

The should release cheaper and smaller f2 variants of the 35 mm and 28 mm. They would sell like pancakes…

I received the aluminum version a few days ago, it really is an interesting lens, small and lightweight, with strong character wide opened and more common but easy when you stopped it down. I think it would be a nice everyday complement to my 28mm Summaron.

50mm is not my wheelhouse, but more choices for M mount is excellent.

It's not for me. People are saying we need to reward the manufacturer for making a new camera, ok I will hold out for Mint's new Rollei 35AF in September. It will be better than this in every way.

I have a bunch of Viogtlander, Leica, and Zeiss lenses. The Voigtlanders are the best of these. Especially the APO Lanthars that beat EVERYTHING ELSE BY A COUNTRY MILE.

I want a Mamiya 8, a Fuji TX-4 (not that TX-3 digital body concept), If this Pentax 17 is what we need to get there in 5/10 years, I'm happy for it! Love the format, I hope you get to enjoy doing the vlogging because for us it's entertaining. Please just don't feel any pressure to upload constantly. Far too many creators start to burn out to appease the algorithm. You do you, it's been a hella ride following watching your videos!
